Ayuda Shita Baja (≈11 km) y Ayuda Shita Baja–I.E. Shita Baja (≈3.6 km).
This research develops the design of a point-to-point wireless radio link system aimed at ensuring
internet access at Educational Institution N.° 10212, located in Shita Baja hamlet, Salas district,
Lambayeque region, Peru. Two technological configurations were evaluated: unlicensed 5.8 GHz
band links using Cambium Networks PTP670 equipment, and licensed 11 GHz microwave band
links using Cambium Networks PTP11850C equipment. The system was structured in three
segments: Motupe–Salas (approximately 14.5 km), Salas–Ayuda Shita Baja (approximately 11
km), and Ayuda Shita Baja–I.E. Shita Baja (approximately 3.6 km). Performance parameters were
determined through simulation using Cambium LINKPlanner software. Results show that both
technologies exceed the 200 Mbps capacity requirement with 100 % availability, achieving
aggregate throughputs of up to 449 Mbps at 5.8 GHz and 2,824 Mbps at 11 GHz. An optimal
hybrid architecture was selected —11 GHz microwave for backbone segments and 5.8 GHz for
the final access segment— with an estimated total cost of S/. 172,500, confirming the research
hypothesis and contributing to digital divide reduction in rural highland areas of Lambayeque.
