Evaluación del desempeño Sísmico y Propuesta de reforzamiento del Edificio Centro de Idiomas de la Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo, de la ciudad de Lambayeque, Provincia de Lambayeque, Departamento de Lambayeque

Abstract

En el presente desarrollo del proyecto de investigación “Evaluación del Desempeño Sísmico y propuesta de reforzamiento del edificio Centro de Idiomas de la Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo, distrito de Lambayeque, provincia de Lambayeque, departamento de Lambayeque”, se verificará, si la estructura del edificio cumple con los niveles de desempeño sísmico, para un tipo de edificación esencial. El edificio Centro de Idiomas, está conformado por 4 bloques, éstos cuentan con 5 niveles más azotea, con un sistema estructural de muros estructurales. Se aplicó un Análisis No Lineal (Pushover), para obtener la curva de capacidad de la estructura y relacionarla con los niveles de peligro sísmico de Servicio, sismo de Diseño y Sismo Máximo, para determinar el punto de desempeño. Para dicho cálculo se aplicaron las metodologías propuestas por las normas FEMA 440 y ASCE/SEI 41-13. Luego se verifica si cumple con el objetivo de desempeño sísmico requerido para una edificación esencial. Los resultados que se obtuvieron nos indican que los bloques del edificio evaluado no cumplen con los objetivos de desempeño, por ello se planteó una propuesta de reforzamiento. La propuesta de reforzamiento consistió en ubicar disipadores SLB en puntos estratégicos, junto a sus elementos complementarios entre arriostres y muros desacoplados, que nos ayuda a no afectar la arquitectura.

In the present development of the research project "Evaluation of the Seismic Performance and proposal for the reinforcement of the Language Center building of the Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University, district of Lambayeque, province of Lambayeque, department of Lambayeque", it will be verified if the structure of the building meets the seismic performance levels for an essential type of building. The Language Center building is made up of 4 blocks, these have 5 levels plus a roof with a structural system of structural walls. A Non-Linear Analysis (Pushover) was applied to obtain the capacity curve of the structure and relate it to the seismic hazard levels of Service, Design Earthquake and Maximum Earthquake, to determine the performance point. For this calculation, the methodologies proposed by FEMA 440 and ASCE/SEI 41-13 standards were applied. Then, it is verified if it meets the seismic performance objective required for an essential building. The results obtained indicate that the blocks of the evaluated building do not meet the performance objectives; therefore, a strengthening proposal was proposed. The strengthening proposal consisted of placing SLB dissipaters at strategic points, together with their complementary elements between bracing and decoupled walls, which helps us not to affect the architecture.
