Afrontamiento de personas con cáncer frente a la quimioterapia ambulatoria en un hospital de EsSalud. Chiclayo 2022

Abstract

Objetivo: Identificar y comprender el afrontamiento de las personas con cáncer que reciben quimioterapia ambulatoria en el Hospital Nacional Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo, EsSalud de Chiclayo. Método: estudio cualitativo con trayectoria de Estudio de Caso. La población atendida por día es aproximadamente de 30 y la muestra obtenida fue de 12 personas, aplicándose el muestreo por conveniencia. Se utilizó como técnica la entrevista y los datos se recolectaron con un instrumento: entrevista, previamente validada mediante la prueba piloto. La información se procesó a través del análisis de contenido. Se tuvo en cuenta los principios éticos. Resultados: se develaron dos categorías: Afrontando el problema del cáncer y afrontando los efectos de la quimioterapia. Conclusión: Las personas oncológicas afrontan la enfermedad buscando información especialmente del tratamiento más adecuado, refugiándome en su fe y sobre todo contar con el apoyo de su familia permitiéndole mejorar su apariencia personal su bienestar físico, psicológico y haciendo uso de las redes de apoyo.

Objective: To identify and understand the coping of people with cancer who receive outpatient chemotherapy at the Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo National Hospital, EsSalud in Chiclayo. Method: Qualitative study with a Case Study trajectory. The population attended per day is approximately 30 and the sample obtained was 12 people, applying convenience sampling. The interview technique was used and the interview and the data was collected with an instrument: interview, previously validated by applying it to a pilot sample. The information was processed through content analysis. Ethical principles were taken into account. Results: Two categories were revealed: Facing the problem of cancer and facing the effects of chemotherapy. Conclusion: People with cancer face the disease by seeking information, especially about the most appropriate treatment, taking refuge in their faith and above all counting on the support of their family, allowing them to improve their personal appearance, their physical and psychological well-being and making use of support networks.
