Aspectos biológico-pesqueros de Squatina armata (angelote), caleta San JoséLambayeque, julio 2022 a abril 2023

Abstract

Se evaluó los aspectos biológico-pesqueros de la especie Squatina armata como única especie desembarcada del género Squatina en la caleta San José de Lambayeque, en el periodo julio 2022 a agosto 2023, como parte del proyecto desarrollado por Pro-delphinus denominado “Trabajando por la conservación del tiburón ángel a partir de la investigación pesquera en el Perú”, determinando su abundancia y distribución en esta zona norte del país, así como también su peso, talla, sexo y biología reproductiva mediante el monitoreo de desembarque en esta caleta, dichas capturas son realizadas por pescadores artesanales que utilizan la cortina como principal arte de pesca. Se registraron 493 individuos de Squatina armata haciendo un total de 2162.30 kg, mostrando una mayor abundancia en los meses de setiembre y octubre, su talla y peso promedio fue de 68.90 cm y 4.07 kg en las hembras y 76.40 cm y 4.98 en los machos. Determinando el tipo de crecimiento para esta especie alométrico negativo con un coeficiente de correlación de 0.9145, indicando una fuerte relación entre la longitud y el peso. La captura por unidad de esfuerzo (CPUE) promedio por viaje, fue de 34.88/viaje, registrándose diecisiete zonas de pesca, siendo las más frecuentes: El Gigante, Eten, Isla Lobos de Tierra y La Casa.

The biological-fishery aspects of the Squatina armata species were evaluated as the only species of the genus Squatina landed in the San José de Lambayeque cove, in the period July 2022 to August 2023, as part of the project developed by Pro-delphinus called “Working for the conservation of the angel shark based on fisheries research in Peru”, determining its abundance and distribution in this northern area of the country, as well as its weight, size, sex and reproductive biology by monitoring landings in this cove, said catches . They are carried out by artisanal fishermen who use the curtain as their main fishing gear. 493 individuals of Squatina armata were recorded, making a total of 2162.30 kg, showing greater abundance in the months of September and October, their average size and weight was 68.90 cm and 4.07 kg in females and 76.40 cm and 4.98 in males. Determining the type of growth for this species is negative allometric with a compensation coefficient of 0.9145, indicating a strong relationship between length and weight. The average catch per unit of effort (CPUE) per trip was 34.88/trip, with seventeen fishing areas recorded, the most frequent being: El Gigante, Eten, Isla Lobos de Tierra and La Casa.
