Caracterización de la tenencia de canes en el distrito de santa rosa provincia de Chiclayo – Lambayeque - 2023
Resumen
La investigación se orienta a identificar las características de la tenencia de canes en el distrito
de Santa Rosa – Provincia de Chiclayo – Lambayeque, 2023. El presente estudio es
observacional de tipo descriptivo y se realizó en 5 sectores del distrito de Santa Rosa en 2023.
Se aplicó un cuestionario donde se registró las diferentes características de la población de canes
con propietario. La muestra estuvo conformada por 384 viviendas. Los datos fueron ordenados
y finalmente procesados en hojas de cálculo del programa Excel. Los resultados que se
obtuvieron de las 384 viviendas encuestadas fueron que el 63.3% tenía un can como mascota,
en estos hogares la mayoría de los canes fueron hembras (67,5%) y tenían en promedio 3 años
3 meses (50,2%), no estaban esterilizados (86,4%), eran sacados a la calle sin bozal ni cadena
(66,7%). Asimismo, estos resultados indican que, el 53,9% no habían sido vacunados contra
leptospirosis, el 39,1% no estaban desparasitados y que el 36,6% habían sido vacunados contra
la rabia. Mientras que en los hogares donde tenían 2 perros que representa el 15.62. % de los
384; la mayoría eran hembras (66,7%) con una edad entre 1,6 a 2,2 años (33,3%), no estaban
esterilizados (91,7%), no habían sido vacunados contra leptospirosis (50%), no contaban con la
vacuna antirrábica (58,3%), no estaban desparasitado (80%) y eran sacados a la calle con cadena
(78,3%). Solo hubo 1 hogar donde se tenía 3 canes, en donde el 100% fueron machos y tenían
1 año, estaban esterilizados, no tenían la vacuna contra la leptospirosis al día, pero sí tenían la
vacuna contra la rabia y estaban desparasitados, y eran sacados con bozal. The purpose of the research was to determine the characteristics of cane ownership in the district
of Santa Rosa - Province of Chiclayo - Lambayeque, 2023. The present study is observational
of a descriptive type and was carried out in 5 sectors of the district of Santa Rosa in 2023. A

they had dogs, 79.9% had a dog as a pet, in these homes the majority of the dogs were female
(67.5%) and were on average 3 years 3 months old (50, 2%), were not sterilized (86.4%) nor
were they taken out with a muzzle or chain (66.7%), likewise, they were not vaccinated against
leptospira (53.9%) nor were they dewormed (39.1%). , but vaccinated against rabies (36.6%).
While in the homes where they had 2 dogs, it represents 15.62 % of the 384 , the majority were
females (66.7%) with an age between 1.6 to 2.2 years (33.3%), they were not sterilized (91.7%)
and they did not have a vaccine. . against leptospira (50%) or against rabies (58.3%), nor were
they dewormed (80%), but they were removed with a chain (78.3%). There was only 1 home
where there were 3 canes, where 100% were males and were 1 year old, they were sterilized,
they did not have the leptospira vaccine up to date, but they did have the rabies vaccine and
were dewormed, and they were removed . with muzzle.
