Evaluación expost del proyecto mejoramiento de la cadena productiva del ganado vacuno criollo y criollo mestizo a nivel multilocal, distrito de Santo Tomás, Cutervo, Cajamarca, 2021

Abstract

El objeto del estudio fue evaluar la eficacia e impacto del proyecto “Mejoramiento de la cadena productiva del ganado vacuno criollo y criollo mestizo a nivel multilocal, distrito de Santo Tomás – Cutervo - Cajamarca”. El estudio es de tipo descriptivo, no experimental, la muestra fue probabilística y el muestreo estratificado a 305 ganaderos del distrito de Santo Tomás, revisándose información oficial del mencionado proyecto y se aplicó una encuesta a la población objetivo. Las características de los productores ganaderos en cuanto al sexo es que el 91.32% es masculino, y solamente 8.68% es femenino. El estadístico de los ganaderos encuestados es que el 32.45% está entre 51 a 60 años, el 24.15% tiene más de 61 años, el 21.13% está entre 41 a 50, el 20.38% entre 30 a 40 años y solo el 1.89% son menores de 30 años. Respecto al nivel instrucción, que el 49.05% cuentan con primaria, el 46.79% con secundaria, el 3.02% superior universitario, 0.75% técnicos y el 0.38% no tiene. Además, que el proyecto contribuyó a mejorar el peso en un 47.9% de una vaca criolla y el toro en 42.6%, se incrementó la producción de leche en 69.1%%, pasando de 3.69 Lt/vaca/día a 6.24 Lt/vaca/día; el precio de venta de una ternera mejoro en un 33.8% pasando de S/ 1 219.25 a S/ 1 631.58. El t o r et e e n u n 4 2 . 2% p a s a ndo de S/ 1 286.57 a S/ 1 830.04. En la vaca en un 35.7% pasando de S/ 1 966.38 a S/ 2 668.19. En el toro en un 42.3% pasando de S/ 2 595.17 a S/ 3 694.15. El precio de venta promedio por cada litro de leche paso de S/ 0.88 a S/ 1.47 con un incremento del 67.0 %. Por lo cual, se recomienda a la Gerencia Sub Regional de Cutervo ejecutar estudios de evaluación posterior en proyectos similares, con el objeto de medir los impactos de la inversión pública en la población objetivo.

The objective of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the project "Improvement of the productive chain of Creole and Creole mixed cattle at a multilocal

level, Santo Tomás district – Cutervo – Cajamarca." The study is descriptive, non- experimental, with a probabilistic sample and stratified sampling of 305 cattle ranchers from

the Santo Tomás district. Official information from the mentioned project wasreviewed, and a survey was applied to the target population. The characteristics of the cattle producers in terms of gender are that 91.32% are male, and only 8.68% are female. The statistics of the surveyed ranchers are as follows: 32.45% are between 51 to 60 years old, 24.15% are over 61 years old, 21.13% are between 41 to 50, 20.38% are between 30 to 40 years old, and only 1.89% are under 30 years old. Regarding the level of education, 49.05% have primary education, 46.79% have secondary education, 3.02% have higher education, 0.75% are technicians, and 0.38% have none. Additionally, the project contributed to improving the weight of a Creole cow by 47.9% and the bull by 42.6%. Milk production increased by 69.1%, from 3.69 liters/cow/day to 6.24 liters/cow/day. The sale price of a heifer improved by 33.8%, from S/ 1,219.25 to S/ 1,631.58. The price of a young bull improved by 42.2%, from S/ 1,286.57 to S/ 1,830.04. The price of a cow improved by 35.7%, from S/ 1,966.38 to S/ 2,668.19. The price of a bull improved by 42.3%, from S/ 2,595.17 to S/ 3,694.15. The average selling price per liter of milk increased from S/ 0.88 to S/ 1.47, with an increase of 67.0%. Therefore, it is recommended that the Sub-Regional Management of Cutervo conduct subsequent evaluation studies on similar projects to measure the impacts of public investment on the target population.
