Manifestaciones de estrés de las enfermeras en centro quirúrgico en el transoperatorio del Hospital Provincial Docente Belén Lambayeque, 2024.

Abstract

La finalidad del presente trabajo de investigación es caracterizar las manifestaciones de estrés durante el periodo transoperatorio de las licenciadas en enfermería que laboran en el área de Centro Quirúrgico del “Hospital Provincial Docente Belén Lambayeque”, estudio de tipo cualitativo, con enfoque de estudio de caso, y contó con una muestra de 10 licenciadas de enfermería, haciendo uso de una guía de preguntas. Se tuvo presente en cada paso de la investigación los principios éticos. Como resultados emergieron tres grandes categorías y subcategorías, que se obtuvieron de los testimonios de las enfermeras de centro quirúrgico del Hospital Belen Lambayeque con respecto a las manifestaciones de estrés en el periodo transoperatorio, donde se presentan las siguientes consideraciones: Las enfermeras del centro quirúrgico manifiestan que el periodo transoperatorio les genera estrés y que se manifiestan a través de signos y síntomas como: Temor, miedo, ansiedad, tensión, desesperación e impotencia, pero al mismo tiempo tienen una factor externo causante de estrés: Estado del paciente, complejidad de la cirugía, trabajo a presión, carácter del equipo quirúrgico, escasez de insumos y deficiencias del entorno físico, las enfermeras manifiestan que las causas de estrés en su entorno quirúrgico son : estado crítico del paciente, complejidad de las cirugías, trabajo bajo presión, personal insuficiente, trabajando bajo el maltrato del cirujano.

The purpose of this research is to characterize the manifestations of stress during the intraoperative period among registered nurses working in the Surgical Center of the "Belén Lambayeque Provincial Teaching Hospital." This qualitative study, with a case study approach, included a sample of 10 registered nurses and used a questionnaire. Ethical principles were observed at every stage of the research. The results yielded three main categories and subcategories, obtained from the testimonies of surgical center nurses at Belen Lambayeque Hospital regarding the manifestations of stress during the intraoperative period. The following considerations are presented: The surgical center nurses state that the intraoperative period generates stress for them, manifesting through signs and symptoms such as: fear, anxiety, tension, despair, and helplessness. They also identify external factors causing stress: the patient's condition, the complexity of the surgery, working under pressure, the character of the surgical team, shortages of supplies, and deficiencies in the physical environment. The nurses state that the causes of stress in their surgical environment are: the critical condition of the patient, the complexity of the surgeries, working under pressure, insufficient staff, and working under mistreatment by the surgeon.
