The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between unemployment and tax
collection and economic growth in the department of Lambayeque during the period 2008-
2023. To this end, it adopted a quantitative, applied approach, with a non-experimental
longitudinal design and explanatory level. The documentary analysis technique was used with
record sheets, and the data were processed in Stata 16 using simple and multiple linear
regression models. The findings showed that tax collection had a positive coefficient of 4.2949
and unemployment had a negative coefficient of -3.1552, both of which were significant at
0.05. In addition, the model as a whole achieved an adjusted R-squared of 0.7652 and an F-
statistic of 15.12 with a probability of 0.0005. It was concluded that unemployment and tax
collection had a significant link to economic growth in Lambayeque, where the macroeconomic
variables examined explained approximately 76% of the fluctuations in the department's GDP.
