| es_PE |
| dc.description.abstract | This research aimed to determine the level of implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in the coffee (Coffea arabica L.) production system in the hamlet of San Antonio, San José del Alto district, Jaén province, Cajamarca region. The research employed a non- experimental design, with the population consisting of 80 coffee-producing families. A census sample, equivalent to the total number of producers, was used. Data collection was carried out through surveys based on the SENASA Good Agricultural Practices guide and the Rainforest Alliance certification criteria, supplemented by direct observation and field verification. The data were processed using descriptive statistics, employing frequency tables and percentages to determine the level of GAP compliance across various production, environmental, and social criteria. The results show that among the positive aspects, the use of healthy plant material (100%), proper handling of harvesting and post-harvest tools, and the protection of water sources stand out. However, significant weaknesses were identified in crop planning, soil management, plant nutrition, phytosanitary protection, and technical record keeping. A low level of association (20%) and limitations in infrastructure for the safe handling of agricultural inputs were also observed. It is concluded that the level of implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in the San Antonio hamlet is at an intermediate stage, with a predominance of empirical practices and limited technical support, which restricts productivity and access to differentiated markets. | es_PE |
