Inadecuado manejo de residuos sólidos y contaminación ambiental en el distrito de Mórrope, Lambayeque

Abstract

El presente informe tiene por objetivo establecer la relación entre el Inadecuado manejo de residuos sólidos y contaminación ambiental en el distrito de Mórrope, Lambayeque. El tipo de esta investigación es descriptiva, con enfoque cualitativo, y diseño no experimental, donde se recopila datos a través de un único instrumento como entrevistas en un momento particular de la investigación. La recopilación de la información primaria se realizó en dos etapas: Se entrevistó a la Gerente de Servicios Municipales y Gestión Ambiental, Sub Gerente Ambiental de la Municipalidad distrital de Mórrope y, en segundo lugar, a los pobladores de la zona urbana de dicho distrito. Entre las principales conclusiones arribadas en la investigación figuran: 1. Débil institucionalidad y planificación informal, 2. Infraestructura operativa insuficiente, 3. Ausencia de clasificación y tratamiento de residuos, 4. Exposición a residuos peligrosos sin control sanitario, 5. Deficiente coordinación interinstitucional, 6. Participación ciudadana debilitada por la falta de educación ambiental, 7. Percepción de desigualdad en la prestación del servicio y 8. Conciencia crítica y propuestas desde la comunidad.

The type of research is descriptive, with a qualitative approach and a non-experimental design, where data were collected through a single instrument—interviews—at a specific point in the research. The primary information was collected in two stages: First, interviews were conducted with the Manager of Municipal Services and Environmental Management, and the Deputy Environmental Manager of the District Municipality of Mórrope. Secondly, residents of the urban area of the district were interviewed. The main conclusions of the investigation include: 1. Weak institutional framework and informal planning, 2. Insufficient operational infrastructure, 3. Lack of waste classification

and treatment, 4. Exposure to hazardous waste without sanitary control, 5. Poor inter- institutional coordination, 6. Weakened citizen participation due to lack of environmental

education, 7. Perception of inequality in service provision, and 8. Critical awareness and proposals from the community.
