La Fasciola hepática y su repercusión económica en vacunos sacrificados en el Camal Municipal de Chota
Resumen
Vacunos, adultos, ambos sexos, sacrificados en el Camal Municipal de Chota, Cajamarca,
entre los años 2012 y 2015, fueron analizados en diferentes parámetros con la finalidad de
conocer su frecuencia y prevalencia de alicuya con su secuela económica que acarreó el
decomiso de hígados. Del total de animales beneficiados, se halló que el 71.01% eran
hembras y el 28.99% fueron machos. Los pesos vivos, al sacrificio, fueron en promedio, de
194.850 kg en machos y 207.500 kg en hembras, con pesos de carcasa de 99.995 kg y
202.500 kg, correspondiéndoles 51.31 y 49.65% de canal, con referencia al peso vivo, en
machos y hembras, respectivamente. La prevalencia, promedio anual, fue que, de 4255
vacunos sacrificados, 3059 resultaron infestados con alicuya y que representó ser el 71.89%
y solamente el 28.11% no se decomisaron. En términos monetarios, se entiende que, si no
hubiera infestación con alicuya, se hubieran logrado ingresos económicos anuales de S/.
217005 (S/. 1083.75/mes). por la venta de hígados; sin embargo, solo se logra obtener S/.
60996.00/año (S/. 5083.00/mes); vale decir que, por cada S/. 100.00 soles se recibe
