Censura y crimentalidad en torno a 1984 de George Orwell

Abstract

La investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar el funcionamiento de la censura y crimentali- dad en torno a la novela 1984 de George Orwell. El estudio tiene un enfoque básico cualita- tivo, nivel descriptivo, diseño no experimental, con procedimientos interpretativos que in- cluyeron la revisión documental, el análisis, organización e interpretación textual. El corpus

de la investigación es la novela 1984 de George Orwell, traducción de Temprano (2022). Se

utilizó una matriz de análisis literario-extraliterario basada en las técnicas de análisis textual- contextual en sus modalidades pragmática, hermenéutica, receptivo-literaria y sociológico- literaria. Los resultados indican que las acciones de censura alrededor de 1984 se desarrollan

a través de la finalidad, los criterios de evaluación y las estrategias de obstrucción, dimen- siones que limitan permanentemente la circulación y distribución de la novela. Además, la

crimentalidad, como construcción literaria de 1984, se rige por un sistema de propósitos, indicios, estrategias y agentes crimentales. Se concluyó, primero, que la censura de 1984 es una fenómeno social, cultural e histórico, orientado a oprimir a la sociedad en relación con el consumo de cierto contenido literario; segundo, la crimentalidad es un término creado por

George Orwell para explicar la construcción social y política en el mundo ficticio de la no- vela; tercero, las estrategias de obstrucción son los mecanismos con mayor presencia en el

proceso de censura literaria.

The aim of the research was to analyze the functioning of censorship and criminality around George Orwell's novel 1984. The study has a basic qualitative approach, descriptive level, non-experimental design, with interpretive procedures that included documentary review,

textual analysis, organization and interpretation. The corpus of the research is George Or- well's novel 1984, translated by Temprano (2022). A literary-extra-literary analysis matrix

was used based on the techniques of textual-contextual analysis in its pragmatic, hermeneu- tic, receptive-literary and sociological-literary modalities. The results indicate that censor- ship actions around 1984 are developed through the purpose, evaluation criteria and obstruc- tion strategies, dimensions that permanently limit the circulation and distribution of the

novel. In addition, criminality, as a literary construction of 1984, is governed by a system of

purposes, clues, strategies and criminal agents. It was concluded, first, that the 1984 censor- ship is a social, cultural and historical phenomenon, aimed at oppressing society in relation

to the consumption of certain literary content; second, criminality is a term created by George Orwell to explain the social and political construction in the fictional world of the

novel; third, obstruction strategies are the mechanisms with the greatest presence in the lit- erary censorship process.
