a destajo abierto.
hallaron diferencias estadísticas (p>0,05) entre tratamientos The study was conducted in the province and district of Lambayeque from August 2 to 17,
2025. Its objectives were: (a) to determine the effect of water from two wells at the FIZ-
UNPRG Livestock Complex on the productive indicators and organoleptic characteristics
of hydroponically germinated barley; (b) to determine the dry matter (DM), crude protein
(CP), ether extract (EE), crude fiber (CF), and ash yields (kg/m2) of each treatment; (c) to
determine the highest yields of fresh hydroponic germinated barley and dry matter,
expressed as kg per kg of processed seed; (d) to determine the production costs of the
evaluated treatments; and (e) to determine the organoleptic characteristics of the
hydroponically germinated barley produced. Three treatments using different irrigation
water sources were implemented: T1, drinking water; T2, well water with a circular ring;
and T3, water from an open, ground-level well. A completely randomized design was used,
with 16 trays and two replicates of eight trays per treatment. The analysis of variance
showed statistically significant differences (p < 0.05) among treatments for the yields
(kg/m2) of hydroponically germinated barley, DM, CP, EE, and CF, as well as for the yield
of hydroponically germinated barley per kg of seed and the yield of DM per kg of seed.
The best results were obtained with drinking water. No statistically significant differences
(p > 0.05) were found among treatments for ash yield per square meter or for stem length
and color.
